Payment can be made by eftpos or online banking. Paywave and credit card payment options are not available.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In our busy world things come up at the last minute that mean you may need to cancel or change your appointment time at short notice. If this occurs at least 24 hours notice would be appreciated where possible. For missed appointments, or any which have to be cancelled on the same day as the appointment, a 50%* cancellation fee will apply (*based on the value of the treatment booked).

ACC TREATMENTS

Acupuncture treatments for ACC injuries need an ACC Claim Number or ACC 45 number from your doctor, osteopath, chiropractor or physiotherapist. Please bring this with you to your first appointment.

There is a $55 surcharge for each treatment covered by ACC at the Tonic Room.

If for any reason ACC does not cover your treatment cost you, you will need to pay the difference.

ON YOUR TREATMENT DAY

It is important that you don’t arrive for your treatment hungry or straight after a large meal. I recommend you have a little snack (like some crackers or fruit) in the hour or so before your treatment.

Please arrive on time to make the most of your treatment.

HYGIENE

All needles used at the Tonic Room are pre-packaged, pre-sterilised, and are only used once then disposed of in a ‘sharps container’ which is taken away by a medical wastes company.

Hand washing by your practitioner is of the utmost importance at the Tonic Room to maintain health standards during your treatments.

Health Screening

For the protection of everyone during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the cold and flu season please do not attend clinic if you, or someone you are in close contact with, have one or more of the following symptoms:

– Fever (high temperature of at least 38C)
– Cough
– Sore throat
– Shortness of breath
– Runny nose
– Loss of sense of taste or smell

These symptoms do not necessarily mean you have Covid-19, the symptoms are similar to other illnesses. If you have any of these symptoms please contact your GP, or Healthline on 0800 358 5453, for advice.

If you have recently returned from overseas, been in contact with people who have, or feel you may have been potentially exposed to the Covid-19 virus in anyway, please wait 2 weeks to ensure you are symptom free before booking an appointment.

Please let me know as soon as you are able if you have any of these symptoms or meet any of these criteria. No late cancellation fees will apply if you cannot attend due to any of the flagged symptoms.

Clinic Hygiene

– Using hospital-grade cleaning products and 100% alcohol-based products depending on which is most appropriate for the surface that is being cleaned. Both are anti-bacteria and anti-viral.

– There is a 15-minute buffer between clients to allow for the room to be aired between clients.

– The treatment table face hole area is cleaned with 100% alcohol spray between each client.

– Use only microfibre bedlinen and blankets which are single use for each client then washed at 60 degrees between use.

– Tracyann will be wearing a N95 face mask for your whole treatment as she is often within a one metre radius of clients.

– Tracyann will still maintain her usual level of hand washing during your treatment, and between clients, to ensure the best standard of hygiene to prevent any spread of disease.

How you can help:

– If you arrive early for your appointment please wait in your car until your appointment time. Tracyann will txt you to come in when the treatment room is ready.

– Please wash your hands on arrival in the clinic, either with soap and water or with the hand sanitiser gel provided. Hand sanitiser gel is freely available for you to use throughout your treatment.

– Face Masks

The Ministry of Health NZ recommends the following in a close contact clinic setting:

If possible, please wear a face mask for the initial face to face conversation part of your appointment. You are welcome to wear a face mask for your whole treatment if you would like, but this is no longer a requirement. I do understand if you choose not to wear a mask at all.

Please wear a mask if you are at a higher risk of becoming sick or want to reduce your risk of becoming ill.

I can provide a disposable mask if you have forgotten to bring one and would like to wear one.

– Please only bring children with you if they are the ones receiving a treatment. If this is difficult, please contact me in advance to discuss.

General info

Thank you for your continued support and patience during this time. With vigilance and mindfulness we can do our best to avoid getting the virus and prevent passing it on to others.

Please feel welcome to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have related to attending clinic and the hygiene procedures in place.
